What am I applying for?
When you apply to have a season with Reel Tailor, you’re applying for a slot in our production calendar. We are small, boutique and growing, so we don’t want to overload our staff with work they can’t complete.
What is an episode?
An episode is a single video that is less than 90 seconds in length
How long is a season?
A season lasts 3 months from the day of your season’s first episode.
Can I really pause or cancel at any time?
Yes you sure can. If you decide to take a pause, the number of days you have left in your season stops counting down and we stop working on videos for you.
We really hope you don’t, but if you cancel, let’s part on good terms. We’ll refund the remaining days of your season, no questions.
Why wouldn't I just make my own videos?
Lots of people make their own clothes, most of us cook our own food. But busy people know that getting someone who’s good at something to do something for you is a superpower.
That’s all we’re doing here.
We’re giving you the superpower of having your own short form show. Your own public facing video persona that is well tailored, professionally polished and as fun as you’ll let us make it!
Is there a limit to how many requests I can have?
The only limit on the number of videos that we can make for you is that we only work on one video at a time.
That means if you have a video in production and a new video NEEDS to go up, then no problem! We’ll just stop working on the one in production and get your new one made for you ASAP. Our production line never needs to stop.
How fast will I receive my videos?
We aim to have you a video that we think you’ll approve within 48 hours (Mon-Fri).
How do I request a video?
We’ll show you how to set up a video request inside of your account’s Trello board. All of our work communication happens in Trello.
How do I share the stuff I shot with my producer?
If you shot it on your phone:
Android: Create a new album called Reel Tailor in Google Photos, add us, then add all the new videos that your episodes need. (Don’t worry, we give detailed instructions and endless tech support to help make sure it works ❤️)
Apple: Create a new album called Reel Tailor in iCloud Photos, add us, then add all the new videos that your episodes need. (Don’t worry, we give detailed instructions and endless tech support to help make sure it works ❤️)
If you shot it on something else: Go to www.reeltailor.com/login and once you’re logged in, go to our file drop section and simply drop your files into our site. (Don’t worry, we give detailed instructions and endless tech support to help make sure it works ❤️)
I'm terrible at shooting video, can I even do this?
Absolutely. We built Reel Tailor’s episode style repository so that the majority of the “shots” you’re taking are going to be short, simple, no setup required and will turn out quite beautifully.
Think of us as the fine tailors that take the tiny pieces of the fabric of your life and we stitch them into beautiful suits and gowns that are your videos.
I don't want to show my face, do I have to?
No! You can totally stay anonymous, faceless, voiceless, even locationless. The choice is yours and your preferences will be noted and respected throughout your show’s production.
Do you offer payment plans?
For a 15% fee, we’ll break down your season into 3 easy monthly payments.
